Maxwell Street Community Garden is proud to partner with SISTAMoms, a dynamic community of entrepreneurs, wellness leaders, and changemakers rooted in a shared mission: to harness the healing power of nature, build economic opportunity, and cultivate stronger, more connected communities.

Through their Village Garden Program (June 1–September 7, 2024) and Maker’s Market (continuing through October), SISTAMoms transforms our garden into a vibrant hub of growth — not just for plants, but for people, families, and futures.

Program Highlights

Therapeutic Gardening:

Guided sessions led by horticultural therapists help participants de-stress, reflect, and reconnect through nature.

Mindfulness & Wellness Workshops: Weekly yoga, meditation, and mindfulness activities strengthen emotional well-being and self-care habits.

Community Support Groups: Safe, nurturing spaces for shared stories, struggles, and triumphs that build lasting connections.

Entrepreneurial Skill-Building: Tools and training in gardening, sustainability, and business to empower participants and uplift families.
