Through its Office of Community Policing, the CPD is committed to building trust and uplifting Chicago’s youth through mentorship and meaningful engagement. We're proud to partner with the 012 District Youth Explorers Program — an initiative that empowers young people to work alongside officers in service and leadership.
Each season, Youth Explorers roll up their sleeves and join us in the garden, planting seeds, pulling weeds, and tending to the land. This hands-on collaboration nurtures more than just vegetables — it cultivates trust, teamwork, and a shared investment in a healthier, safer neighborhood for everyone.
